# What Jolts data covers

> Supported observations, source evidence, freshness, and limits.

Jolts returns company-level activity with supporting evidence. It does not offer a complete
directory of every company or guarantee that a prospect is ready to buy.

## Current scope

| Coverage          | Partial, even when the requested page is full                |

Hiring, funding, technology adoption, social-post monitoring, personal emails, phone enrichment,
automated outreach, and recurring change feeds are not currently provided by these tools.
Do not assume a field or signal is supported because it appears in a marketing example or another
data product's documentation.

## What comes with the evidence

Observations distinguish the reported activity from an explanation of possible demand. References
include permitted source links and excerpts. Event time, observation time, and expiration serve
different purposes; a recent observation can describe an older event. See [field definitions](/evidence).

Only evidence eligible for delivery is returned. Company-domain relationships must also have
current support. A returned domain is not a guarantee of complete corporate-family resolution.

## Why results may be incomplete

Read `coverage.stop_reason` and `coverage.limitations`. Sources may be unavailable, unsupported,
restricted, exhausted, or still being processed. A full page describes the current request, not
complete market coverage. Discovery may make bounded provider calls when policy permits it;
known-company lookups do not call providers or refresh the dataset.

## Freshness and corrections

Replays recheck evidence eligibility. Withdrawn or expired support may disappear from a later
response without changing historical usage settlement. Preserve current results rather than
restoring withdrawn evidence from earlier output. There is no universal freshness guarantee or
public promise that every source is checked on a fixed schedule.
